Main Highlights:
- Rainbow Bridge
- Replica of Statue of Liberty in Tokyo
After our omu-rice dinner at Aqua City, we stepped out of the building to take pictures of the Rainbow Bridge. It was night time and the view was far more stunning than that during daytime. I wouldn’t say that it is romantic viewing the bridge with your loved one, as there will always be many people standing around you trying to capture good shots. (many “lamp posts”)
Rainbow Bridge at night.
Strange… Wasn’t that the Statue of Liberty?? It’s actually a replica.
Another view of the whole package.
You can actually walk around as the area outside Aqua City is very huge. So we spent about half an hour walking around to take different angles of the bridge.
That’s me replicating the replica of the Statue of Liberty.
A closer look at the Statue of Liberty. I have not seen the one in New York, so I don’t know how close the resemblance is.
That’s how Aqua City looked like from outside.
Another shot of the Rainbow Bridge. Hey you can see the boats right? They were rowing really slowly and don’t know where they came from too.
Quite crowded. Not just tourists were attracted to the night view, but the Japanese as well.
As we walked towards the Daiba Station, we were nearer and nearer to Fuji TV Building. We had never stepped into that building though it is also a tourist attraction. It’s more of an office building and there are many more “touristy” places to visit in Odaiba.
Oh, if you would like to admire more scenery while inside the Yurikamome (monorail), board the cabin right in front. We took videos and photos just for the fun of it. That’s Fuji TV Building and in the far corner you can see the Ferris Wheel in Palette Town.
Hope you like the photos above and that they have enticed you to visit Odaiba in Tokyo. Heehee. They were all taken by my husband who was painstakingly trying to find stable places to place the camera on to avoid having blurry pictures. (We had not brought any tripod stands ok…)
Ok I will move on to Tokyo Day 8 next, which was our second last day of the 2009 Tokyo trip. Ciao!
